Kathy Breitsprecher, NP is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner that started at Country Kids Pediatrics in October 2022. She earned her Master of Science Degree as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in 2003 from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She also earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center in 1993 after completing her prerequisites at UTSA.

She began her nursing career as a registered nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Methodist Children’s Hospital. She started as a bedside nurse taking care of children with a wide variety of health problems including postoperative heart patients. She later became a charge nurse and a transport nurse. As a transport nurse, she traveled with a respiratory therapist by plane, helicopter or ambulance to bring children from rural hospitals to  for the higher level of care they needed.

Since becoming a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, and thanks to her husband’s military career, she has had the opportunity to work in Texas, California and Virginia. She is married and has one daughter, Zoe. She loves her pets and currently has 3 dogs and 1 guinea pig. She loves to travel and has been very fortunate to visit many UC cities as well as many countries in the Caribbean and Europe.
